Daisy - for stretch marks and acne? Instructions for a healing oil

Gänseblümchen - bei Schwangerschaftsstreifen und Akne? Anleitung für ein heilendes Öl - Babyduft®

Do you also have such fond childhood memories of daisies? I'm always amazed at how quickly these undemanding flowers grow back in our meadow. Children love collecting them and weaving flower wreaths, but do you know what healing powers these little blossoms have?

The tannins and minerals it contains, when applied internally and externally, help with minor injuries as well as rashes and skin blemishes . As a wound and healing remedy, it's equally effective as arnica and calendula.

Variant 1

1. The most beautiful thing comes first, collecting the flower heads, two handfuls are enough

2. Leave it in the shade for a while so that small crawling creatures can escape.

3. Place in a glass and add enough oil to cover all parts of the plant.

4. Place the jar in a water bath and heat gently. The active ingredients are extracted most gently at a temperature of around 40°C. Let it steep for approximately 120 minutes (approx. heat setting 4).

4. Remove from heat and let stand, sealed, at room temperature for 3 days.

5. Strain the flowers through a filter and pour the oil into brown glass bottles .

Variant 2

The gentler variant is a cold extraction.

To do this, the daisies are poured with oil and left in a warm but shady place for 3-4 weeks and shaken once a day.

Make sure all the flowers are always covered with oil to prevent mold from forming. It's best to use a pharmacist's jar or a preserving jar . Jam jars aren't suitable, as the lids contain plasticizers that could dissolve when shaken.

Choice of oil and shelf life:

You can use the original expiration date of the base oil as a guide. Sunflower oil is regional and inexpensive, but has a rather short shelf life. I like to use a fragrance-neutral and skin-nourishing organic aloe vera oil from Primavera.

Increase the effect:

You can use the macerate, which is the name given to an oil extract, on its own. If you want to further enhance the wound-healing, disinfectant, and pain-relieving effects, you can add essential oils.

Immortelle: extremely effective against bruises, wound healing - order

Lemongrass: refreshing, antiviral, activates fatigue - order

Lavender: disinfectant, ideal for mosquito bites and burns - order

Tea tree oil: for impure skin, apply daily - order

Add 20 drops of essential oil to 100ml of daisy oil and shake well again

Use in babies

Daisy oil is a wonderful remedy for diaper rash, as its tannins reduce susceptibility to bacterial and fungal infections. To treat this, clean your baby's bottom with fresh water and wipe it with a warm washcloth moistened with the oil.

Use during pregnancy

Daisy oil can be used safely during pregnancy. Its tannins help keep the skin soft and prevent stretch marks.

If you'd like an effective blend, I'd be happy to put it together for you. Contact me at info@babyduft.com

This wonderful base oil can also be used to make a wound-healing balm. The recipe will follow soon.

I hope you have fun collecting and marveling at the treasures of nature that await us for free around every corner!

Sincerely yours

Ursula & hard-working helper Matilda
